Rob & Ali's Big Day

It was a great pleasure being asked to photograph Rob & Ali's Wedding on Wednesday 28th December 2011, at the beautiful location of Channels Golf Club in Chelmsford.

With a strong Scottish link on the bride's side the groom decided to surprise his Bride to be by dressing in the full Scott's kilt attire.

This couple were great to photograph and were up for trying different ideas that I had (hence the picture of Ali in the bath). Both the couple loved this picture so much that they requested this to present on their thank you cards.

There were so many unique and personal touches that had been thought about throughout this wedding, like instead of a normal guest signature book they had opted for the building blocks 'Jenga' for people to write their personal messages on.

Christmas is coming!

Hello & Welcome to my blog! - My recent favourite shots!

If this is the first time stopping by to view my blog, thank you and I hope you enjoy viewing just a small sample of my work. Though if you are returning to find out what I have been up too then welcome back!

I have been very busy not only with my photography but I have also decided to start dance teaching again (one afternoon a week) therefore Love2Dance re-opens in September at United Reform Church Hall, Maldon. The decision came about due to always teaching my daughter new dance moves at home as well as attending my 2 weekly classes of Zumba with the lovely Joani St. Cliere.

I feel my photography business is doing well being that I am still in my first year. I decided to post a few of my favourite images that I have taken recently. I critique my images a lot and I'm always striving to improve on my last photography assignment and push the boundaries in what I offer to my clients. I am in the process of composing a customer survey to gather valuable feedback from my clients thus improving all aspects of my business.

My 'Bright Eye's' Competition is running along well though would love more entries. Closing date 31st August 2011. Therefore please check out my website to enter or for information about the competition.

Three Counties Youth Ballet

It was an honour to be asked to be the official photographer of the 'Three Counties Youth Ballet'. Here are a few of my favourite shots that I took at their dress rehearsal. I particularly like the 'Coppelia' photographs. The choreographers as well as all the dancers that participated were outstanding bearing in mind they ranged from 10 years old to 16 years.

Capturing the magic of childhood

I love photographing toddlers, probably more than anything else. I live for those spontaneous moments when I can capture the magic of childhood.

Ultimately you can't control the behaviour and attitude of a small child, but with simple planning you can avoid tantrums as much as possible.

I have lots of toys (being that my daughter is coming up to 3 years of age), children's props such as wooden benches, small whicker chairs, balls, bubbles etc.... So that in the hope we can create some great shots of your son or daughter for you to treasure a lifetime.

Above are just a few shots that I took of my daughter in her ballet tutu. With the help of my Mum she found some rose petals which just helped add that finishing touch to create these great shots.
